• Above the main reception desk is a large printed flex face (banner material) internally illuminated light-box.
  • “The terraced bar” text, one of the 50 or so self adhesive vinyl graphics applied directly to painted walls around the centre. An extremely cost effective way of designating different areas in a larger building.
  • The campus shop needed to be easily identifiable on the site, this window etching manifestation clearly defines the building in a very visible and effective way.
  • Fret cut, stand-off, powder-coated aluminium lettering helps create a very grand campus entrance.

The University of Winchester

The University of Winchester is located close to the centre of the ancient cathedral city of Winchester, an hour away from London and in the shadow of the beautiful South Downs.

University Centre

This £6.5m, 3,000 square metre building was constructed to house the main university reception along with the students union, campus bars and shops.

The Brief

Working closely with Winchester-based company The Design Engine Architects, our brief was to supply all directional and information signage alongside safety signs and characterisation around the centre. The installation of this project was carried out in four stages throughout the build process, with the final touches being installed only a few days before the building was officially opened by John Denham MP, Secretary of State for Innovation, Universities and Skills.
